Department of PG STUDIES and Research in Psychology along with IQAC Cell organized a 1- day capacity building workshop on “Corporate Training and Learning & Development” on 2nd February, 2024 at 10 am.
The resource person was Anita N S, a Corporate trainer and Learning and Development specialist from Bengaluru. The President for the workshop was Dr. Sandhya Kaveri K, Principal, Kateel Ashok Pai Memorial College, Shivamogga.
Dr. Archana Bhat K, HoD, Department of Psychology, along with Staff and Students of PG department of Psychology were also present in the workshop.
Anita N S is a Content Writer, Behavioral Skills Trainer, Counselor, Skilled Wordsmith and Speaker.
The workshop gave insight to students about the various ways to improve skills like time management and the roles of Organization Development Specialist, Industrial Psychologists and HR. The students learnt various methods to identify gaps in the organization that would need training, assessments or interventions.
The anchoring of the inauguration program was done by Ms. Hani, Assistant Professor, PG Department of Psychology. Ms. Inchara S, Assistant Professor, PG Department of Psychology, gave the welcome speech. Dr. Archana Bhat K, HoD, Department of Psychology, gave an introductory speech about the resource person. Dr, Sandhya Kaveri, Principal, Kateel Ashok Pai Memorial College gave the Presidential note. Ms. Shilpa, Assistant Professor, PG Department of Psychology gave the vote of thanks. The invocation song was sung by students of I MSc Psychology.
Good feedback was given and the workshop ended on a positive note.
